39 Weeks Pregnant - Signs of Pregnancy
At 39 weeks pregnant your breathing may become easier as your baby has dropped low into position for birth. If you start having contractions which don't go away as you move around and get stronger and more intense as time goes by then it's quite likely you are in labour!
Phone your midwife or maternity hospital as soon as your waters break or before this happens if you are at all concerned.
Most of the soft hair (lanugo) covering your baby will by now have disappeared and your baby is considered full-term. However, his lungs are still continuing to mature. He may weigh over 7lbs and be 191/2 inches long!
