Baby Shower Ideas - Adding a Touch of Fun to the Party!

Baby shower ideas are ever-changing and being being thought of by individual party-planners all the time. Some of the more traditional activities presented at baby showers include:

  • Guessing the baby's birth date/ weight/ name/ sex

  • Guessing the mother-to-be's girth!

  • Tying string around the mother-to-be's abdomen - if it breaks then that guest is believed to be the next member of the party to become a parent!

  • Baby shower bingo

  • Guessing the flavour of baby food, sometimes blindfolded!

  • Throw the nappy - where the nappy/ diaper is full of treats such as chocolates or sweets

  • Opening gifts in front of the guests

  • Providing food and drink for the guests
