Stem Cell Lines

When collected stem cells have divided and propagated, they are known as a stem cell lines. Stem cell lines are managed and distributed amongst researchers and scientists so that they can do further work on them.

Once the researchers have access to them, the stem cells can be manipulated in order to specialise; this is called directed differentiation.

Embryonic stem cells are able to differentiate into more cell types than adult stem cells.
