Breastfeeding Questions - Leaking Milk, Not Pregnant or Breastfeeding
I was pregnant this time last year. My breasts were tender and I had started producing milk. Now, a year on at near enough the same time, I have started producing milk again but I am not pregnant.
Is this normal and what causes this to happen?
This is a question for your doctor, I'm afraid.
Sometimes medication can cause you to produce milk when you are not pregnant, for example, some antidepressants. So all I can really advise is that you speak to your GP about this.
After searching Google for the words 'breastmilk not pregnant', I came across this article in which Dr Hilary Jones answers a similar question.
You may like to have a look at this and maybe discuss some of these possibilities with your own GP.
