Breastfeeding Questions - Breastfeeding and Yeast Medications
Are there any over the counter medications suitable for a yeast infection while breastfeeding?
There are lots of treatments available, both conventional and herbal. But my advice is to contact a Pharmacist or your GP before taking any over-the-counter medication. If you cannot get a GP appointment, you may be able to request a telephone consultation.
You do not say whether you have a breast or vaginal infection but any medication you take could pass through to your baby and, in any case, with a yeast infection your baby may need treated too.
