Baby Health Insurance: Given it any thought yet?
Baby health insurance is something you may not have given much thought to, but it's worth considering it alongside general health insurance for yourself and the rest of your family. With waiting lists growing by the day, you may just want to ask yourself if you can afford not to?
Consider this. Your baby takes ill, you take her to the doctor only to be told he or she needs a minor operation but there's a 12 month waiting list just to see the specialist. It happens, as I've discovered from personal experience when my own daughter required an operation to repair a squint!
So what do you do? Do you wait for 12 months in the hope the problem won't get worse, or do you wish there was some way you could speed things up?
Whilst in principal you may not agree with the whole concept of jumping waiting lists, when it comes to your baby you may feel very differently. And that's why baby health insurance is worth considering. Even if you never need to use it, you will always have peace of mind knowing if you need it, it's there.
Baby health insurance is one of the greatest gifts you can give your child and is something you really should take a moment to consider seriously. Best of all, most insurance companies offer very good policy rates for baby and family health plans and if the unforeseen should happen, you'll know your baby can get appropriate medical treatment quickly and without a long wait ahead.
