Miscarriage Poems - Unfair
Unfair
This miscarriage poem was sent to us by Holli, a lady who sadly lost her longed for baby to miscarriage. The depth of love she holds for her child is raw in this beautifully written poem.
They say that life is unfair,
I stupidly thought I knew.
Now I understand all too well,
After losing you.
Maybe it's better it happened so early,
But that isn't saying much,
Because you're gone, regardless,
Having never felt my touch.
I dreamt of you briefly,
It's as close as I got,
As close as I'll ever be,
Then you were taken,
My beautiful baby,
Who was never meant to be,
I'll never soothe you, or kiss your cheek,
I'll never hold you close,
Because it's true, life isn't fair,
And now I truly know.
~ Holli
