Stillbirth Poems - Little Angel (Prayer for Emelia Elizabeth Vincent)

This heartfelt prayer was written for Emelia Elizabeth Vincent, and her mother wrote the following :

"I have a prayer that I would love to share. I wrote it last weekend after finding out my dear baby's heart stopped. My poor little gymnast twisted and turned and wrapped the cord around her neck 3 times.  I was able to have a beautiful delivery yesterday with my guardian angel helping me. Rest in Peace Emelia Elizabeth Vincent 7/24/09 11:22am. I do pray my words will help someone else."

Stillbirth Poems - Little Angel

(Text Version)
Emelia grew her wings today.
I am sorry that she was not meant to stay with me here on earth.
She was born a child of Christ with a special journey to follow.
I would like to think that when I prayed to God to send me a baby, that the baby I prayed for was one that would serve the church by becoming a priest or something else quite special.
Emelia is quite special.
God has plans for her.
I would like to think that she was chosen to be that little guardian angel sent around to all my loved ones.
Someone who is there to help lighten their heavy hearts when things seem so bad.
Someone who is there protecting babies everywhere, showing them their journey to find their way home.
Someone who helps put families back together again.
Someone who is there with you when you are facing fear.
She will be there holding your hand, praying for you when you can not seem to find the words.
Emelia was created out of love for God and love for her mom and dad and family.
She has been my rock, my love, my comfort and my dream.
I will miss her dearly, but I know she has a job to do.
She has done so well that God called for her early.
My dear sweet Emelia, I know you will have success as our very special guardian angel.
Emelia, I love you always and know when it is time for you to leave me, I will be ok.

Love Mom and Dad
