Early Pregnancy Symptoms - Backache
Backache is a common early pregnancy symptom with many women likening it to menstrual cramping.
Although uncomfortable and frustrating, most often the backache is simply a result of your ligaments loosening to allow your body to accommodate your growing baby. You may start to notice pains low down in your back and you may also find your posture changing as you try to ease the pain.
A warm bath can help, as can a gentle back rub and some women find gentle exercise such as yoga or pilates helps.
If you are struggling to cope with the pain, speak to your GP as he may be able to prescribe painkillers which are suitable for use during your pregnancy.
