Early Pregnancy Symptoms - Sense of Taste

Your sense of taste may alter dramatically, alongside your sense of smell, during early pregnancy. In fact, it may become so strange to you that you may find you can no longer bear to drink or eat foods that you would normally enjoy! Even everyday foodstuff such as tea, coffee and toast can become unbearable.

Some women also complain about excessive salivation and others experience a strange metallic taste in the mouth which affects their appetite. In some cases, these can even cause waves of morning sickness.

Again, this is a normal sign of early pregnancy and one way around it is to try sucking on some sweets or chewing gum if it is particularly bad.
