Early Pregnancy Symptoms - Enhanced Sense of Smell

BreastfeedingMums.com - pregnancy, childbirth, baby and beyond!

An enhanced sense of smell is one of the very early signs of pregnancy that troubles many newly pregnant women. Lots of mothers-to-be become extremely sensitive to everyday smells and it is not uncommon for foodstuffs, such as tea, coffee and toast to trigger waves of nausea. Perfumes are another culprit!

Fortunately this particular symptom of pregnancy often wears off for most women during the middle months.

Often the only solution to this problem is to avoid being around smells which annoy you, keeping a window open or to try disguising them perhaps with some scented oils on a tissue which you can sniff if necessary. (Tip - Lavender is particularly good and it also relaxes you!)
